And the bag is......

In this entry I will be posting what is currently in my bag and what I use during a normal round. My birthday is around the corner, and odds are I will be getting a new bag, and will add a few discs from my stash. Keep in mind they will probably be innova until I get the money to convert more into Latitude...or MVP makes a driver, whichever comes first.

Currently this is the bag I use to hold discs...

It is not a bad bag at all, and has served me well since I started. It has held everything I've needed, and even has a removable divider. I keep the divider in to keep my bag small and carry only the 6 (+1 putter pocket) I need. It has seen much mud and dirt and even a rainstorm, and all it takes is a trip into the washing machine and it is good as new. I will always keep this bag around for my backup bag.

Backup bag you say? Why would you need that? Currently this is my backup bag..

Its a bag two of the guys I play with enjoy quite a bit, and holds what they want, it just has no form and does not stand up, which bothers me. My Innova bag can be set down and it stays upright. My birthday is in January, and my wife has said I could get a new bag. I have done quite a bit of research and decided on a bag that meets my needs, as well as my future needs, the crunch box by FADE

This bag is 1) not advertising any disc company (it is my plan to get patches to add to it with two of the companies I throw the most) and 2) its durable. Everything I've read says this is the best bag for both the money, and its usefulness. The other plus is that it holds 2 putters, which due to my putting (One for my circle and one for distance) is perfect. it also has a mini pocket and everything else my old Innova bag has. This will exspand the discs I carry, but heading into the 2012 season (Which I will participate in heavily) will become necessary and also reduce the time I spend putzing around in my bag.

Although the bag does not make the player, I am hoping at least a little the bag will help me enjoy the game a bit more and make it easier to haul my discs around. This will be the bag I use for years to come, and will not be looking for another bag until much later.

ehhh...its a start

For those that read this, this is far from an instructional go to blog of Disc Golf.....it is far from it. In fact I will warn you, odds are reading this will do nothing to improve your game. I've created this blog to just write my ramblings on disc golf and the equipment I use. If reading this helps you pick up a few discs then great, for it is my intention to use discs from companies that are little known, at least to my area.

On that note two companies are dominate here in NC, those being Discraft and Innova. Now granted, both companies are the largest companies of the sport and they have tons of discs for all types of throwers. Innova is more dominate than Discraft here, but that's due to the lack of anything but Innova in stores. From Play it again to Dicks....Innova is everywhere.

*Shrugs* oh well this is the age of the internet and this means the other disc companies have a crack at what people throw if they get good word of mouth. Currently there are two companies that I am enjoying quite a bit, those being Latitude 64 and MVP Disc Sports. These two are both newer companies that have a small set of discs.

Although small, each disc has its purpose and have proven to be quite enjoyable in my throwing. Today I threw the lat and MVP discs and was only 2 over par for the course at Richmond Hill....my best score yet. We will see if that continues.
