A lot has happened since the holidays have passed, and even more so to my golf game. With a new bag (Fade Crunch), it meant exspanding my discs I use. I even got a awesome golf target (Innova Skillshot). But later on that, I will now exsplain my bag and what discs I'm currently using.
Distance Drivers
-Discraft Predator (Green FLX ESP)
My primary headwind driver, or for holes where I need the disk to curve hard. Was put into my bag for overhead throws, but does not flip over very well, but found its place for windy conditions.
-Discraft Avenger (Yellow Z)
My driver for when I need a late curve, but not a hard curve like my predator. has a nack for skipping so been working with this for when I need a shot that requires low clearance.
-Latitude Flow (Blue Opto)
Amazing glide, has become my go to driver for when there is no wind, or for open park-like courses. Been loving how well this disc feels one release on a power throw.
-Discraft Surge (Blue FLX ESP)
My primary driver...period. An amazing disc that has helped with my distance. My release is a little funny at times, and when it is...well lests just say this disc does not fly pretty after that. Given the slight over stable flight path is has, it compliments my forearm throws well. When I need distance and I have the space for its S curvw, this is where I turn.
-Discraft Avenger SS (Crystal Z plastic 174g)
Flies farther than my stalker so I use this for when I need distance as well as a straight flight path. if released slow it hooks at the end, but I use my striker (slightly slower disc) for my shots that require that. If is a straight long shot...this is my disc.
-Innova Beast (DX plastic 175g)
My thumber/overhand disc, flattens out for a nice glide finish. Has gotten my out of many problems. Was my first driver, but due to the lower grade plastic is starting to wear beyond its sweet spot and become really flippy.
-Latitude Striker (Red Opto)
This was a disc I kept around but never worked with until I threw (and eventualy traded for) an orc. After a little research, I found that the orc and striker are very similar...and they were right. I use this disc for valley shots that I need to go straight, I turn to the striker
Fairway Drivers
-Discraft Stalker (Yellow Z)
I use this disc for shorter holes where placement means more than distance. It forgives my slower form and flies like a dream. Skips a little, so I throw it low so the skip happens earlier in the flight.
-Latitude Vision (Clear Opto)
My disc for getting me out of trouble. Perfect overhead disc for me that flips over at the right time. Has never let me down.
Midrange Drivers
-MVP Vector (Red Proton)
Has a little hook at the end which helps me get around those stubborn trees that get in my way. An amazing flight path when released with more spin than power.
-MVP Axis (Green Proton)
Straight flight that is similar to my Buzz SS, but much heavier. Used for when I need a disc to stick to the ground, and for those tight shots between trees.
-Discraft Buzz SS (Pink Z)
This disc will hold any line I put it on, and I use it for those shots that look like i'll never get close to the basket. When I only throw one disc on the course, this is it. Very light compared to my other midranges, so I do not use it in the wind, as it becomes unpredictable.
Putters
-MVP Ion (Green Proton)
My go-to putter an amazing disc that I've made impossible putts with.
-Legacy Clutch (Yellow Protege)
Still working with this disc, but its been amazing so far. Flies like my aviar and is razor straight.
